Townsville Day Surgery has been the Townsville centre for Day Surgery since 2003, and services both the local community and the broader North Queensland region.
The facility runs two operating theatres and two endoscopy procedure rooms, treating more than 7,000 patients per year.
The facility is owned by one local doctor who understand the needs of the North Queensland people: Dr Stephen Fairley (Gastroenterologist).
Through its pursuit of best practice initiatives and its commitment to continuous quality improvement, Townsville Day Surgery is dedicated to deliver an effective model for day surgery service to the community. As such we partner with the community to support and enable individuals, families and significant others to maintain, restore or improve their health status without prolonged hospitalisation.
